Do you have a pensioner concession card or health care card? If so, take advantage of the Metropolitan Patients Dental Subsidy Scheme (MPDSS) and enjoy subsidised dental care from Karrinyup Dental Centre.
This scheme is supported by the Dental Health Services (DHS) and enables recipients to receive up to a 75% discount on dental services. The scheme is available for non-urgent treatments for patients contacted by the DHS and placed on a public dental waiting list.
The MPDSS is designed to help reduce the financial burden associated with dental services and encourage patients to seek treatment for their teeth and mouth. It incentivises individuals to receive regular check-ups to promote prevention or early diagnosis of oral problems.
How Does the MPDSS Work?
Determine Eligibility for Dental Subsidies
To determine eligibility for the Metropolitan Patients Dental Subsidy Scheme (MPDSS), check the Dental Health Services (DHS) website and contact your local public dental clinic to register.
Scheduling an Appointment
Once you receive your MPDSS voucher from DHS, you can schedule an appointment with Karrinyup Dental Centre. Please inform our staff that you will use MPDSS for your dental care.
Initial Consultation
The MPDSS will fund up to 75% of your expenses for dental treatments. The amount you may have to pay out-of-pocket depends on the specific condition of your teeth and gums. The dentist could suggest additional treatment during the consultation, possibly with extra charges if required.
